PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Economist with extensive experience in executive roles in the Management and Financial areas within the Cooperative sector for over 30 years. Currently Executive President of the Coomeva Cooperative Business Group. The organization has nationwide coverage in Colombia and consists of nine companies operating in the financial, health and protection sectors, Coomeva Cooperativa, the Group’s parent company is an organization that has been operating for 60 years. It serves more than 265,000 members and has 5,500 direct employees.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate from the Economics program at Universidad del Valle in Colombia. He also holds a Specialization in Finance and completed two MBA programs from Eafit-Icesi and Icesi-Tulane Universities and an MBA from Universidad de los Andes.
Ongoing training and education through participation in various educational programs, as well as work and teaching experience, especially in the financial and management areas.

About Coomeva Cooperative
Coomeva Cooperativa is the entity that gave rise to the Coomeva Group and steers the unity of purpose, direction, and control of the Group’s companies. It was founded in Cali on March 4, 1964, by 27 doctors, one of them a woman, under the leadership of the main manager and founder, pediatrician Uriel Estrada Calderón (RIP), whose name is proudly borne by our National Headquarters building in Cali.
Cooperativism, a socioeconomic movement based on the values and principles of equality and equity, is the model that underpins Coomeva, an organization that enrolled 400 members in its first year and is now supported by 265,000 members and their families. It began providing savings and credit services to doctors in Valle del Cauca and at present, 61 years later, it brings together professionals from all disciplines, as well as technologists, technicians, and their families throughout the country, providing its services in 24 of Colombia's 32 departments.
Coomeva Cooperativa is the parent entity and owner of a cooperative business group comprised of nine companies, which, thanks to the unity and contributions of its members, provides services to nearly three million Colombians in various sectors: financial services, healthcare, social protection, education, housing, business development, recreation, and tourism.
The main companies of the Coomeva Cooperative Business Group are: Bancoomeva, Fiducoomeva, Coomeva Prepaid Medicine, Coomeva Medical Emergency, Coomeva Insurance Brokers, and the Coomeva Foundation, which works for the promotion and strengthening of entrepreneurship in the country.
