Anne-Laure Desgris has been co-CEO since 2019 of the Smart cooperative in Belgium, which brings together more than 20,000 autonomous workers each year. With diverse experience, she has worked in the cultural sector, social and solidarity economy, as well as in international transport and logistics. In France, Anne-Laure is co-founder of the Manufacture Coopérative and Bigre!. She is also vice-president of CECOP (European Confederation of Industrial and Service Cooperatives) and a member of Icett (International Cooperative Entrepreneurship Think Tank of the ICA). Anne-Laure Desgris is committed to and advocates within these collective organizations to make them real levers of social change, with particular attention to professional equality between women and men and economic democracy. Her expertise, shared at conferences and in her publications on cooperative entrepreneurship, demonstrates her determination to build a future where social justice and gender equity are the foundations of a truly solidarity-based and collaborative economy.
