Sharwan Kumar Manta, is 2008 Batch Officer of Provincial Administrative Service of the State of Himachal Pradesh,India born in the family of Apple cultivators and brought up in agrarian’s society, having first-hand knowledge of agriculture and rural economy added to it is the Banking experience of 6 years at C-Suite level.
A graduate in Economics having joined the provincial Administrative Service and looked after implementation of Socio-economic welfare schemes of State and National Govt.He also worked as Govt. Nominee Director in the Board of Directors of Himachal Gramin Bank (a Public Sector Regional Rural Bank)for three years and at present working as Managing Director-cum-CEO of Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank for last 3⅟2 years. Under the leadership, the Bank was adjudged 3rd overall best State Cooperative Bank in the country in the Joint Conference of ICA, ICBA and NAFSCOB in New Delhi. He was member of G20-B20 India Task Force on‘Financial inclusion’ and also member of G20-B20 Brazil Action council on “Women Diversity and Inclusions in Business”. His recommendations was made part of Policy Document of G20 India as well as G20 Brazil, and one of the Policy of the Bank pertains to women empowerment formed mention in the G20–B20 Brazil Action Council Policy document as a Global best Practice.
