Johan Van den Neste (55) has over 25 years of experience in the Dutch insurance market, where he has demonstrated himself as a passionate and innovative leader at several prominent companies in the sector. Since 2024 as Chairman of the Executive Board of Coöperatie Univé after being CEO of Unive P&C-insurance and Unive Reinsurance. His experience at Univé has greatly influenced his business vision. "I have increasingly serious doubts about the focus on profit maximization in the individual interest of shareholders, especially in a time that calls for solidarity and looking out for one another. For more than 230 years, Univé has not only ensured that its members are well insured and supported in prevention, but also contributed to a safe, pleasant, and future-proof living environment. The fact that we have been doing this for almost two and a half centuries without profit demonstrates the value of the cooperative model."
