Youssef Achour

Upcoop Group

Youssef Achour is the CEO of the employee cooperative company Upcoop (the first mission-driven cooperative company in France) and of the Group present in 25 countries. He is also President of the CRESS Ile-de-France since April 2022, as well as an administrator of the Impact France movement and a member of the CG-Scop Ile-de-France.

Engaged in the social and solidarity economy (ESS) since his student years, he has campaigned in the associative sector in Seine Saint-Denis, advocating for the integration of neighborhood youth, migrant populations, and isolated women. After completing a postgraduate degree in Management-Finance at Paris XIII University, Youssef Achour began his professional career in financial roles within organizations such as CNIT La Défense, Les Éditions La Découverte, and Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations.

Youssef Achour joined the company Chèque Déjeuner in 1999 to work on the development and diversification of activities. An elected administrator of the UpCoop cooperative since 2007, he initiated and supported technological transformation strategies until 2008, when he took on the role of General Manager of French activities, excluding prepaid titles. In 2014, he was appointed General Manager for France and in 2017, Director of the Europe Mediterranean Zone (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Tunisia).
