Alejandro Simón has an Actuary degree from the University of Buenos Aires, and a Professional Master's Degree in Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude, from IAE Universidad Austral. He has been part of Grupo Sancor Seguros since 1998, holding the CEO position since 2016.
He is President of CITES (Center for Technological, Business and Social Innovation) and also chairs FISO (Ibero-American Foundation for Occupational Health and Safety). In December 2023 he was appointed President of CIDeS (a Think Tank of the Argentine insurance industry). He was also President of ADIRA (Insurance Association) from 2016 to 2020.
At an international level, he is a member of the Geneva Association Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the ICMIF as Vice-President for the Americas.
He has served as Deputy Director of the Actuary career at the University of Buenos Aires from 2009 to 2022. In 2018 he was co-chair of the G-20 Insurance Forum (held in Bariloche, Argentina) and member of the "Financing Growth and Infrastructure" Taskforce of B20 Argentina.
In June 2023 he received the ADE (Business Leaders Association) award for Business Leader of the year 2023.
